Moshiri Orthodontics is a leader in the St. Louis, MO area for the specialty of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. Our family practice has been serving St. Louis and its' surrounding cities in Missouri for over 30 years.

Our orthodontists, Dr. Farhad Moshiri, Dr. "Maz" Moshiri and Dr. Shuka Moshiri offer quality-driven, affordable orthodontics. We pride ourselves on using state of the art orthodontic procedures and technology. With the use of traditional braces, clear Clarity™ braces, 3M APC™ II brackets, and Invisalign® we are able to offer you a wide variety of options to fit your needs. Our orthodontists have earned the Elite Provider status with the increasingly popular Invisalign® and Invisalign Teen® braces system, which is a clear alternative to traditional braces.

Our focus on treatment is not just on your teeth but also towards your whole facial complex, paying close attention to growth modification as needed for adolescent patients with functional appliances as needed, including expertise in surgical options for adult patients as well. This provides for not only an esthetic smile, but also gives special attention to providing a beautiful, balanced face.

Additionally, Dr. Farhad Moshiri is considered an expert in the complex treatment of TMJ in St. Louis, along with the management of dentofacial deformities, including cleft lip and palate care. Drs. Moshiri have special interest in the use of Surgical Orthodontics (i.e. accelerated orthodontics/DDO, orthognathic surgery, TADs, etc) for their more complex cases. They continually strive to always stay on top of the newest procedures and technology available for our patients, with a persistent focus towards continuing education. Our orthodontists also enjoy educating and giving back to their profession, lecturing to various dental schools and orthodontic residency programs around the country.

Meet Our Doctors

Dr. "Maz" Moshiri was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. Having graduated from MICDS in 1998, Dr. Moshiri then traveled to Emory University to receive his B.S. degree in Neurobehavioral Biology. He then went on to obtain his Doctorate, Masters in Oral Biology, and Certificate of Advanced Training in Orthodontics from the University of Louisville.
During his orthodontic residency, Dr. Moshiri received extensive training and certification in Invisalign, soft tissue management with diode lasers, and placement and utilization of orthodontic miniscrew implants. Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Maz Moshiri graduated in the top of his class, and was honored with the American Association of Orthodontists student award, two International College of Dentists awards for both Leadership and for Professionalism, the Oral Biology Research award, the Omicron Kappa Delta award for Outstanding Graduating Senior, and honorary induction into the prestigious academic society of Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
Dr. Maz Moshiri believes in delivering the highest quality care in orthodontics, guided by his dedication to utilizing the most advanced techniques and materials, and to applying the latest findings from clinical research to his practice. Dr. Maz enjoys dedicating his time to proper patient education regarding the nature and future resolution of their orthodontic problems. He he currently co-founder and facilitator of the Young Dentist Study Club of St. Louis, a board member of the Greater St. Louis Dental Society, and an "Ask the Expert" speaker for Align Technology, the makers of Invisalign.
Dr. Maz is thrilled to further his orthodontic experience alongside his best friend and father, Dr. Farhad Moshiri, who has been teaching orthodontics on the postgraduate level for over 30 years.

Dr. Moshiri is a graduate of the School of Dental Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis. He holds a Master’s degree in orthodontics from Northwestern University, one of the nation’s most respected academic institutions.

Dr. Moshiri formerly chaired the Department of Orthodontics at Washington University, where he helped to prepare many orthodontic residents for specialty practice.

In addition, he was a clinical professor and orthodontic consultant for the orthognathic surgery program at the University of Louisville in Kentucky for 28 years, which recognized his skill as an educator with the President’s Distinguished Faculty Award.

Upon his retirement, he was also recognized as a Kentucky Colonel, the highest honor given by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, for distinguished service and accomplishments on behalf of others.

During the course of his 30-year clinical practice, Dr. Moshiri has published many scientific articles on a variety of subjects, including developmental care and growth guidance, orthodontics, orthognathic surgery and temporomandibular joint dysfunction.

He is a contributor to the text, Comprehensive Care of Craniofacial Deformities, as well as the consultant to the editor for the Journal of Craniomandibular Practice.

Relative to his special interest, and expertise, in treating children and adults with temporomandibular joint dysfunction and craniofacial abnormalities, Dr. Moshiri is a former executive director of the Greater St. Louis Craniomandibular Society.

He is also a former president and longtime member of the Greater St. Louis Dental Society (GSLDS). He has served on, and chaired, many of the Dental Society’s committees and has been actively involved in many of its community outreach initiatives─contributions which were acknowledged with the organization’s Award of Merit.

Recognized as an expert in his field by the local media, Dr. Moshiri has been interviewed many times, on a range of topics. He is certified by the American Board of Orthodontists ─ the profession’s highest level of attainment. In addition, he is a fellow of the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, and the World Federation of Orthodontics.

To maintain a cutting-edge approach to the specialty of orthodontics, Dr. Moshiri travels extensively, keeping abreast of innovations in treatment and technology. In that regard, he has been a frequent guest speaker to dental and orthodontic groups in the United States and abroad.

Dr Shuka Moshiri believes that expressing joy through laughter or a smile can be one of the most gratifying feelings in our lives! She takes great pleasure in building smiles her patients can proudly carry with them through life.

Dr Shuka completed her Master of Science in Dentistry at Saint Louis University Orthodontics. Her master’s thesis is entitled: Cephalometric Evaluation of Adult Anterior Open Bite Non-Extraction Treatment with Invisalign.

She has done research in dental school on the role of TGF-beta 3 in Cleft Palate, and for this research, she won the American Association of Oral Biologists Award. She was also awarded the Humana Foundation Scholarship in dental school, which is awarded to a student who exemplifies excellence in leadership.

Dr Shuka traveled to the Philippines in dental school with University of Louisville’s International Service Learning Program to provide free dental care to under served populations of Cebu.

She served as the Community Service Officer for 3 years during her dental school career. She organized and led projects designed to serve impoverished areas and help expose youth to the dental field.

She recently joined as the newest Moshiri orthodontist, continuing the family legacy of orthodontic excellence.

Meet Our Staff

I am an avid St. Luis Cardinals fan, love Blues hocker and college basketball. Music is everything. I love all genres and try to attend as many concerts as possible.
My husband Eric and I have been married for five years and I have two beautiful daughters; Harley (21) and Hannah (19). My world revolves around these people, I have everything because I have them.

I have 2 kiddos, Izi and Henry. I and so blessed to have my first grandbaby, Xavi and he calls me Yaya

Fall is my favorite season because football is back and every year, I tell myself, "This is our year!" - Green Bay Packers fan.I am the middle child, who acts like the oldest. I have a kindergarten teacher for a mom and a large extended family who is all located in Wisconsin.

I have been working as a Dental and Orthodontic assistant for over 30 years. I am very proud to have raised my beautiful daughter Abby and charming son Jacob, who are both attending college.

I love what I do and really enjoy working with everyone here at Moshiri Orthodontics.

I have been working in the orthodontic field for 10 years. It is exciting for the opportunity to become part of the talented Moshiri Orthodontics team! In my free time, I enjoy working-out in the early morning hours and spending quality time with my husband, daughter and two kittens. My favorite part of my job is seeing the braces come off a patient. I am proud to have played a part in their new confident smile.

I love live music. Music is the univeral languare. Show love, spread love.
I have two children, David and Johanna, who are my reason for wanting to be the best version of myself. It is them who have taught me so much about myself

I am left-handed. My husband’s name is Keith, and we have a son named Jacob. He recently got engaged so I will soon have Megan as my daughter in law!

I have a second-degree black belt in Taekwondo.I have a small family but a great one! I have my parents, my two dogs, Ludkhanna and Hans, and my cat Pocahontas.

I played the violin for 7 years. I like sports, my favorite basketball team is the Golden State Warriors.
My parents are from Mexico. I have two siblings, an older brother and sister. I have 3 dogs, a Mini Poodle (Chester), a Chihuahua (peke), and a Pomsky (Gal)

I like rock music, video games, action movies, weight training, and spending time with my family. I am not a fan of Mac N Cheese and spiders. My wife and I are 9 months apart. Guess who is older! We have a 14-year-old son who like to sing and 11-year-old daughter who likes to draw. They both love to play video games and watch YouTube.
